Joining the Midi Ring
Requirements your site must meet
before we can add your site:
- The pages submitted must
pertain with midi music.
- The actual PAGE submitted
(not the entire site) should only belong to ONE ring. In other words, the
MIDI Ring must go directly on your MIDI page and can not be posted on
a "Rings" page with numerous other webrings.
- No personal home pages or
pages dealing with non-musical content. You may have links to your other
pages, but the page
with the Midi Ring link must
contain musical information.
- You must have a collection
of at least 30 quality midi files available for download. The preferred
method is that you can play them right off the page (i.e.More
.mid files than
compressed .zip or sit files).
- Your pages should be predominantly
in English.
- No more than two "Pop-Ups"
are allowed, and NO "Pop-Ups" everytime you click a link to play a MIDI
File.
- If you are using a page that
contains frames, make sure that you add the HTML Fragment to the
<No Frames>
section.
- No sites with Adult and/or
Pornographic content or links.
- You will have to join "WebRing"
to submit your site. It's free. Sorry, this was imposed when Yahoo took over the Webring
system. We are not happy about it either.
- Sites
posting midi files
that are unauthorized
links to midi files
off of other people's pages will
absolutely not be accepted.
If your pages do not
or
can not conform to these guidelines, please do not go any further.
We strive to maintain one of the best ways of finding quality midi music
and information on the web!
Sites that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted into the
Midi Ring.
If your site

is functioning. If the URL you submit comes up "Not Found" your site will
